TO PARENTS AND STUDENTS:

I am pleased with all the great effort that the students put into the MATH LTF test and that is sure to bring good results.  :-)

Now that the MATH LTF test is over, we will concentrate on our next projects.  Some class periods have started  an example of the “Survey” project in class.  There are no special homework assignments during this weekend, except for “thinking” about your survey TOPIC for your project.

During this weekend recharge your “brain batteries” and make sure you stay focused on learning until the last day of school, which is May 24th.

 HAVE AN AWESOME WEEKEND!!!!!!  :-)

Wow!  All together, students in 6C raised $2006 to help families in developing countries.  Next week, each class will select which animals it wants to donate to those families.  Get out those catalogs and start thinking…

The students did an amazing job.  Parents, thank you for all your help and support!  :)

TO:  Parents and Students

 LAYING THE FOUNDATION TEST (LTF)

All PRE/AP students in 6th grade will be taking “Laying the Foundations” test next Friday, April 27, 2007.  I am very well impressed with the results of the practice exercises we are doing in class and the great effort the  students are showing in their work.  We will continue practicing for the test the next two class periods.  Keep up the good work and keep focus on learning, after all this testing school is NOT over yet!  Always come prepared to class.

If you have NOT turned in the “big packet”, please do so ASAP.  It will be counted as a grade in the 6th cycle.

HOMEWORK:  Bring graph paper and a calculator (for practice).

After “LTF” test the students will be working on the “Survey” project.   More details next week.

Have a great weekend.
