We started a concept/mind map in class (Tuesday/Wednesday) that needs to be completed for homework (due Thursday/Friday). The map covers Volcanic Activity and uses concepts and vocabulary from sections 4 and 5 of chapter 11. The words that should be included in the concept map are listed after the jump. If you need help with concept maps, page 588 of the textbook is a good reference.

Pangaea Puzzle

March 4, 2008 mr. e. Leave a comment

We are learning about geologic events and how they occur. To begin, we must understand the concept of continental drift and how it happens, plate tectonics. To that end, the students are putting together a puzzle that demonstrates how the present continents may have looked when they were part of Pangaea. To help the students complete the puzzle, they can download the clue sheet.
