Note to parents and students:

MATH TAKS TEST WILL BE ON TUESDAY, APRIL 29.  Please, make sure that your child has a restful evening every day of that week. 

There will be NO homework on Monday/Tuesday, April 28-29. 

HOMEWORK DUE ON Monday, April 28:  Workbook: pages 47, 50, 51, 54, 56, 57.

Chapter 13: Earth’s Atmosphere

We’ve been learning about Earth’s atmosphere in science: it’s composition, the quality of the gases that comprise it, and it’s different layers. Students should be finished reading chapter 13 and have completed the corresponding workbook pages. The presentations that were used for this chapter can be accessed at the following links:

Note to parents and students:

CYCLE 5 ENDS TODAY AND A DETAILED PROGRESS REPORT WAS SENT HOME.  Please, ask your child to show it to you, sign it and return it to class.  If there is still any missing work, please, complete it and turn it in by MONDAY, APRIL 14 BY 9:00 a.m. 

I sent a progress report last Friday and very few students brought it back signed!  Please, ASK YOUR CHILD for progress reports!!!!!!!!!!

HOMEWORK:  Identify/classify angles and handout 7.2 pp. 18-19

MATH TAKS TEST: April 29.

Tutorials:  every Monday from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Science Progress Reports

A detailed progress report was sent home April 7, 2008. Parents, please sign this sheet and have your child return it to me. Any questions regarding missing assignments or make up work need to be resolved before April 11, 2008. In addition, all missing assignments should be turned by April 11, 2008.

PRE-AP MATH APRIL 4, 2008

NOTE TO PARENTS AND STUDENTS:

A detailed progress report was sent home TODAY, APRIL 4TH. Please, ask your child to show it to you, sign it and have your child to return it to me.

If the student has any missing assignments, just complete them and turn it in BEFORE NEXT WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9. If there is any discrepancy in your grade and graded papers, please let me know to make the necessary corrections.

HOMEWORK: ALL CLASS PERIOD HAVE THE SAME HOMEWORK DURING THE WEEKEND:
Lesson 7.1 Study pp 325-327 and solve problems #26-36 (Problems 1-20 were completed in class).
Lesson 7.3 Study pp 337-339 and solve problems #30-43 (Problems 1-21 were completed in class). This work will be graded.

Next Tuesday all students will be taking a PRACTICE MATH TAKS TEST. It will be graded.

MATH TAKS TEST 2008 WILL BE ON APRIL 29.

Please see the attached document detailing the class project that all World Cultures classes will be participating in. Although most of the work will be done at school, there may be some work that needs to be completed for homework. This homework will be written in the students’ planners if it is required of them. The due date will be announced as the date gets a little closer, as this project will be an ongoing one for the next couple of weeks.
