Word of the Day Quiz

Students will have a WOTD Quiz on Monday, November 10 or Tuesday November 11 over the first half of List 2: fragile, vast, swagger, vivid, soothe, glutton.

Reading Logs

Reading Logs are generally checked on Fridays (unless it is not a normal five day week). Reading logs are assessed in two ways:

25%- Independent Reading: Students are expected to read for at least 30 minutes five times a week.

75%- Reading Self Assessment: Students answer questions based on their personal experiences reading during the week.

Upcoming

Starting next week, we will begin reading “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. We have engaged in a web quest to explore background information about Victorian Enlgand. We will begin by watching the Muppet’s version of “A Christmas Carol.” We should be reading the first “stave” (chapter) by the end of next week.
